Kentucky Car Insurance

Most states require you carry at least Liability insurance if you own and operate a motor vehicle.  There are a few basic things you need to know to understand a Kentucky  Auto Insurance Policy.

We can help you understand what these terms mean and how much coverage is right for you.

  • Standard and Preferred auto Insurance
  • High Risk auto Insurance
  • Classic autos / High Valued autos
  • Special program for Mature/Elderly Drivers
  • Discounts that are available
  • Recreational vehicles / Boats

The Liability portion of a policy covers injuries and property damage to someone else caused by the policyholder.

Personal Injury Protection covers the treatment for injuries to the driver and passengers of the policyholder’s vehicle.

Underinsured or Uninsured Motorist Coverage will help with the policyholder holder’s medical expenses when injured by a person who is uninsured or doesn’t have enough liability insurance to cover the cost of the injuries.

If a vehicle is financed, you may be required to carry full coverage until it is paid in full.  Full coverage includes Liability and also:

Comprehensive – covers damage to your vehicle for anything other than a collision and usually has a deductible.

Collision – covers damage to your vehicle in the event your vehicle collides with something else and usually has a deductible.

Optional coverage of Towing, Rental Reimbursement, and Roadside Assistance can be added to the policy but are not required.
